COMPLETE RANKINGS, VOTES, REGIONAL POLLS, CLICK HERE
The best of the best state women's baskeball teams are in high win mode as they enter conference play. Since our last release here, the current top 25 teams put together a combined 77-11 record for an impressive .875 win percentage in the past 14 days.
While Butte College continues its run as the #1 team on this week's CCCWBCA State Top 25 Coaches Poll, Mt. San Antonio is making a push at #2. Butte garnered eight of the 11 first-place votes this week while Mt. SAC received the other three.
Moorpark rolls in again at #3, San Joaquiin Delta jumped a spot to #4, Orange Coast fell one slot to #5, Fresno City stays at #6, Glendale climbed a position to #7, Palomar slid one rung on the ladder to #8, Folsom Lake flew into the top 10 at #9 with a 4-spot ascension while Mt. San Jacinto remains #10.
Moorpark was the state runner-up to Diablo Valley in the 2019 championship game. Under head coach Kenny Plummer, the Raiders (16-3) are hoping this could be their year to win a title.
Maybe the team that has made the most substantial noise is new #11 Cosumnes River, now 18-2 and leading the Big 8 Conference with a game at hand over Delta. A month ago, CRC wasn't even on the top 25 and now it's legitimate top 10 material.
Coaches vs. Cancer games with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society will take place this week. At this year's 3C2A State Championships, the CCCWBCA will present a check to ACS.
