Conference play starting as State Women's Volleyball Top 25 taking shape
With conference play beginning last week including the Big 8, Orange Empire and Pacifici Coast Athletic, the CCCWVCA State Top 25 Rankings #4 includes four teams still undefeated and many others that boast outstanding win percentages.
Feather River College remains the Queen of the Mountain at #1 with four more victories than any other team at 18-0. The other undefeated are in the South led by #5 Los Angeles Mission (14-0), then #6 Orange Coast and #7 Santa Barbara City, each at 10-0.
Teams also showing their worth are #2 Fresno City (12-2, both losses v. FRC), #3 San Joaquin Delta (13-1), #4 and still South leader and #4 San Diego Mesa (11-1), #8 Taft (11-2), #9 San Mateo (7-3) and rounding out the top 10 Pasadena City (9-3) at #10.
There were no changes in the top 15 spots in this week's rankings.
Other Top 25 teams that have dazzling win-loss records are #16 Sequoias (12-2), #19 Modesto (14-1) and #23 Monterey Peninsula (9-1).
New teams on the Top 25 are Siskiyous at #24 and current top four South RPI Ventura at #25.
Eighteen teams have reached 10 wins or more, 11 from the North.
